CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• The candidate should have completed BS in Computer Science/Engineering or related field from any recognized university.
• Should have at least 1 year of hands-on network/server HW experience.
• Knowledge of Internet protocols including TCP/IP and DNS.
• Should possess Unix/Linux command-line experience.
• Should have strong communication and organizational skills.
• The candidate should have proven ability to solve problems creatively.
• Goal-oriented attitude to work through roadblocks, attend to details, and bring about project closure.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Our Network Infrastructure Engineers build and maintain Akamai’s worldwide network. 
• Should work closely with field technicians, ISPs, customers, equipment vendors, and internal operations and engineering staff. 
• The candidate will start by helping to remotely diagnose hardware problems, facilitate server repairs, and manage Akamai’s hardware assets.
• Project-managing new network installations, working closely with Network Architects, Network Engineers, Contract Managers, and Operations staff.
• Specifying hardware configurations to meet requirements of new and existing service offerings.
• Diagnosing and repairing network, switch, and router problems.
